The Galaxy Book 6 lineup debuts in the US with three models, AMOLED displays, Intel Panther Lake processors, and pricing that challenges Apple's MacBook Air directly.

Samsung has launched its latest Galaxy Book 6 lineup in the United States. It comprises three models: Book 6, Book 6 Pro, and Book 6 Ultra.

While all the notebooks are powered by the Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) chipsets, built on Intel’s 18A manufacturing process, they feature slightly different chipsets.

The entry-level variant, Galaxy Book 6, starts from $1,049.99, which places it very close to Apple’s M4 MacBook Air ($999). It comes with either a 14-inch or 16-inch IPS panel, with touchscreen being optional on the latter.

Buyers also get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.4, and Ethernet connectivity with the device.

Moving up the price ladder, we have the Galaxy Book 6 Pro, which starts from $1,599.99 for the 14-inch variant with an AMOLED touchscreen (with an option to upgrade to the 16-inch touchscreen variant).

It’s worth mentioning that the 14-inch variant is just 11.6 mm thin and weighs around 1.23 kilograms, making it one of the lighter options in the segment. Both feature a vapor chamber for improved sustained performance.

Both the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and the Book 6 Ultra offer up to 30 hours of video playback. The laptops will be available in the United States fromMarch 11, 2026. If you reserve the device, you’ll get a $30 credit and up to $900 in trade-in credit.

Your ChatGPT chats are more personal than you think

New OpenAI data shows a surprising amount of consumer usage is for non-work tasks and personal expression.

ChatGPT

OpenAI released fresh Signals data pulled from millions of consumer messages sent between July 2024 and the end of 2025. The company sorted through those conversations to figure out what people actually do with ChatGPT when they are not at work.

The findings paint a surprisingly human picture. The analysis splits interactions into three buckets. Asking covers moments when you want information or clarification. Doing includes tasks where you need ChatGPT to produce something. Expressing is when users share thoughts or feelings without expecting any output or answer. That third category keeps showing up, suggesting people are finding something in the chatbot that goes beyond productivity.

The “daylight” display: screens that actually work in the sun

Working outside: the brightest screens built to beat the spring sun

Laptop for outdoor use

When the spring weather finally breaks, the immediate urge is to take your laptop to the patio or the park. But within five minutes, you realize the sun has turned your expensive screen into a dark, highly reflective mirror.

For years, we shopped for screens based on resolution (4K) or refresh rates (120Hz). But if you want to work outside, the only metric that matters is nits (the measurement of brightness) combined with a matte or anti-reflective coating. An average office laptop outputs about 250 to 300 nits, which is immediately washed out by direct sunlight. To overpower the sun, you need at least 600 nits, with 1,000+ being the gold standard.
