Six attractions on the new MSC World Asia cruise ship – including an F1 simulator and ‘Cliffhanger’ swing
MSC World Asia will start welcoming guests from December 2026
A Formula 1 simulator and the longest dry slide at sea will be some of the new attractions that guests can enjoy on MSC Cruises newest vessel.
MSC World Asia is set to launch in six months with a naming ceremony on 28 November in Le Havre, France, before it embarks on debut seven-night Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona on 4 December 2026.
Guests can explore more than 40 bars and restaurants, seven pools, 13 hot tubs and the cruise line's widest range of suites in its high-end MSC Yacht Club area.
The ship will feature Asian-inspired designs and art, as well as a range of attractions for families and passengers of all ages to enjoy.
Here is what to expect.
The Cliffhanger

For the first time in Europe, guests aboard MSC World Asia will be able to experience the cruise line’s Cliffhanger swing.
First-launched on MSC World America, the over-water swing ride lets guests hang 50 metres above the open sea.
The Twin Racer and U Drop Waterslides
Waterslides are a key feature of many MSC Cruises ships.
On MSC World Asia, guests will be able to race side-by-side on the Twin Racer waterslides or take on the U Drop slide that starts with guests falling straight through a trap door.

The Spiral @ Tree of Life

MSC Cruises’ other World class ships – World Europa and World America – have dry slides but The Spiral @ Tree of Life will be the longest at sea.
Measuring 81.3 metres, it will take guests down 11 decks in just seconds.
The design is inspired by the trees of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay.
Adventure Trail
MSC World Asia will have its own Adventure Trail ropes course suspended above the ocean.
It will span 6,210 square feet and features Sky Rails similar to a zip line.
The MSC Luna Park Arena
The onboard MSC Luna Park Arena arcade area is being expanded for the new ship.
The floor will transform into an interactive arena where guests can compete in dynamic gaming experiences.
The MSC Formula Racer

MSC Cruises is an official sponsor for Formula 1 and fans can experience the thrill of the grand prix in an onboard simulator.
Guests can virtually drive a high-speed Formula 1 car on tracks such as Monza and Silverstone.
The venue will also host game shows including Code Breakers, Labyrinth and Chart Toppers, alongside themed parties and entertainment across two decks.
Gianni Onorato, chief executive of MSC Cruises, said: “Our World class ships have been a great success with guests, and MSC World Asia, the third of eight in this class, marks the next step in this journey. As we look ahead to her inaugural Mediterranean season, we are proud to continue delivering ships that reflect our vision, innovation, beautiful design, and focus on the guest experience, with each one raising the bar even further.”
