This London airport is offering free bus travel to its terminal in August
Passengers can show their boarding pass on selected routes to board for free this summer

Free bus travel is being offered to London Luton passengers travelling to and from the airport this August, encouraging customers to leave cars at home ahead of its busiest summer on record.
Holidaymakers across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire travelling to London Luton airport this August can make use of free bus travel instead of paying for parking, which can cost up to £75 a day.
The month-long “Fly and Ride” initiative allows adult passengers to travel free of charge on Arriva and Stagecoach bus services by showing the driver a valid printed or digital boarding pass for Luton flights.
The free bus travel is available both to and from the airport during August.
The airport says the initiative complements the new Department for Transport’s free summer bus travel scheme for children aged five to 15 in England, meaning all members of the family can ride the bus for free to the airport this summer.
Some bus services operate 24 hours a day, while several run as frequently as every seven minutes in Luton, including those that drop passengers off directly outside the terminal door.
The scheme has been put in place to enhance customer experience, as well as encourage passengers to leave their car at home ahead of Luton airport’s predicted busiest summer on record.
Free bus travel is available from any stop on the following routes throughout August:
Arriva
Stagecoach
The scheme excludes National Express and Greenline bus services, and passengers must have a return journey booked before 31 August to qualify.
Aside from the bus initiative, families travelling to Luton airport by train can also access discounted rates with East Midlands Rail, which offers £20 family tickets for journeys between London St Pancras and the airport on the Luton Airport Express.
Valid for two adults and up to four children, the ticket also includes use of the Luton Dart shuttle to take passengers right outside the terminal front. It does not include return journeys, however.
