Back in 1966, a store named Sound of Music first opened its doors. All these years later, that same store—long since renamed "Best Buy"— is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a big sale. And some of the deals can only be found in person.

Best Buy's 60th Anniversary Sale will run from Monday, Aug. 17 through Sunday, Aug. 23. The sale will be both in-store and online, with fresh deals on the weekend from Aug. 21-23.

Do you need to be a member to shop Best Buy's sale?

You don't need to be any kind of member to shop Best Buy's 60th Anniversary Sale; however, it is free to sign up for a My Best Buy membership, which will get you free shipping.
