With Labor Day just around the corner, Amazon's Labor Day sale is already in full swing. This is great news if you're looking to buy a Garmin fitness watch. Right now, the Garmin Venu 3, which offers robust tracking features and has a speaker and microphone so you can also use it to take calls, is 35% off, bringing it down to $291.90, from its original price of $449.99. This is its lowest price ever, according to price-tracking tools.
The Venu 3's 45mm AMOLED touchscreen display has a resolution of 454 x 454, making it easy to see even during a bright midday run. It supports a wide array of health-related features, and can monitor your heart rate, stress levels, and sleep patterns, and receive morning reports on your health status. Whether you're golfing, swimming, cycling, or engaging in other physical activities like HIIT, the Garmin Venu 3 capably offers on-screen workouts, tracks your performance and endurance, and offers stats on your performance, including "Body Battery Energy Monitoring" that shows you how much juice you might have left in the tank.
The Venu 3 is compatible with both Apple and Android systems. When fully charged, it will deliver about 14 days of use. It also includes GPS, but there's no LTE support, so you'll need to be within range of your smartphone if you want to stream music or listen to meditation tracks during your workout.
When will Labor Day sales start?
Labor Day sales have already started. More retailers are likely to start their own sales leading up to the holiday on Monday, Sept. 7.
What do you think so far?
Are Labor Day sales worth it?
Labor Day has traditionally been a good time to find deals in many categories, but whether they're worth it or not depends entirely on what you're looking for. Compared to sales like Black Friday or Prime Day, Labor Day falls short on volume and quality of discounts, but you might still find a good price on tech or kitchen appliances that will match those holiday prices—or even beat them. (We use price tracking tools to let you know if a deal is worth it or not.)
What other stores have Labor Day sales?
So far, Home Depot, Amazon, and Wayfair have started their early Labor Day sales. Target, Walmart, and Best Buy are likely to follow. (Lifehacker will be rounding up deals for all of these sales.)
