Anker Nano Smart Display Charger

Table of Contents

A phone charger doesn't usually offer much to look at, but Anker’s Nano Smart Display Charger tries to make charging a little more informative—it shows real-time charging power, battery status, and temperature information, and on supported iPhones and iPads, it can also recognize the device and adjust charging accordingly. The recognition feature is limited, though; Samsung, Pixel, and other phones will still charge but without getting the same device-specific information. If those extra insights sound useful, Amazon currently has this 45W charger for $25.99, down from $39.99, which price trackers show is its lowest price so far.

The 45W output should be enough to fast-charge many phones and tablets, although the actual speed will depend on the device and cable you use. Under its test conditions, an iPhone 17 Pro reached 50% in about 20 minutes (according to the manufacturer), so there is enough power here for a quick top-up before heading out. There’s also a Care Mode, which is an interesting feature, especially if you tend to leave your phone plugged in overnight—Anker says it can keep a phone’s battery temperature up to nine degrees Fahrenheit cooler, potentially helping extend its battery life. As for the display, it's informative but not touch-enabled—you navigate it by tapping or holding the charger itself—and it can rotate 180 degrees (not 90 degrees).

What do you think so far?

For travel, the compact design may end up being more useful than the screen. The charger is 47% smaller and 36% lighter than Anker’s original 30W model, and the folding prongs make it easier to fit into crowded outlets or power strips. You only get one USB-C port, so it is not ideal if you want to charge several devices at once, and there is no cable included in the box. Samsung users should also check their phone’s charging requirements before buying, since some Galaxy models need 5A PPS support to reach their fastest charging speeds, and this charger does not provide that.
