Uncle Bryn’s Gavin and Stacey home is now available to book on Airbnb

Gavin and Stacey fans can now book a place to cwtch in Barry, South Wales –  in Uncle Bryn’s actual house.

“Gone Fishin”, a two-bedroom Airbnb on Trinity Street, sleeps six on the set of Rob Brydon’s beloved character’s home.

According to the listing, guests can whip up an omelette inspired by Gwen, stage a workout like Bryn and Smithy in the home gym, play on Trevor’s Subbuteo table and spend time spotting hidden Easter eggs inspired by the series.

When Airbnb host Jaxx Nelson and her partner Tom spotted the familiar property up for sale, they didn’t even think they would get a viewing.

Nelson said: “I think we were among the first through the door. Talking afterwards, we thought how much we'd love to stay ourselves for an 'Uncle Bryn experience' of sorts – and then figured, if we'd love it, there must be other fans who would too. So we put an offer in that same day and were slightly stunned when it got accepted. Beyond excited, obviously!”

Prices to stay at the Airbnb start from £482 for a minimum of two nights.

Guests will have sole access to the full house during their stay as well as free street parking and a private patio.

The Trinity Street accommodation is also within walking distance to several well-known filming locations in Barry Island and the beach.
